11月23日より一橋大学において、El Colegio de Mexico のIlan Bizberg 教授をお招きし、メキシコの発展モデルを国際比較の視点で検討し、その後の新自由主義的な衝撃、NAFTAの社会経済的影響について、ご専門の政治経済学の視点から分析、日本の新自由主義的政策による変動とつなげながら議論を進めたいと思っております。

Abstract of Conferences by Ilan Bizberg at Hitotsubashi University.
In this series of lectures, I will analyze the situation of the Mexican economy and it social effects since the transformation of the economic model during the debt crisis of the 1980’s and the signature of the North American Free Trade agreement with the United States and Canada in 1992. I will first analyze the Mexican economic model in comparison with other countries of Latin America, especially Mexico and Brazil. I will then describe the Mexican economic model before the 1980s and the impact of neo-liberal restructuring on it after the crisis; the abandoning of the import substitution economic model and the opening of the Mexican economy. I will finally analyze the social consequences of neoliberalism and NAFTA in Mexico: on the labor market, inequality and poverty and on the Mexican Welfare State.
Profile of Professor Ilan Bizberg
Ilán Bizberg is professor and researcher at the Colegio de México, associate member of the CADIS / EHESS, Paris, associate member of the International Research Training Group "Zwischen Raumen"of the Latin American Center of the Freie Universität Berlin, and member of the CEIM/ UQAM. He has a PhD in social sciences of the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. He did his postdoctoral research at the University of Bielefeld under a Humboldt Stiftung Scholarship. He has been visiting professor or researcher at various universities: Sciences Po, Paris, IHEAL, Paris, Université d’Amiens, Université de Toulouse, Universite de Rennes, UQAM, Montréal, Université de Montréal, Woodrow Wilson Center, Washington, LAI-Freie Universität, Berlin. His latest book is Variedades de Capitalismo en América Latina, El Colegio de México, 2015.
